A N D R E A + R O B
Andrea and Rob have big hearts, like really BIG. I got to spend some time getting to know these two at their engagement shoot session and quickly realized that I wanted to surround myself with more people like them. I mean, their wedding “favors” were tokens that each guest could choose to give to one of three charities the couple supported, c’mon.
Today is their one year anniversary (congrats, you guys!!!), so I figured it was the perfect day to finally blog their sweet, vintage-y garden cocktail vibe wedding for the world to share in its goodness.
They threw a hell of a classy wedding on a modest budget and spent their money where they felt it mattered, their guests. The food featured a gorgeous, seasonal charcuterie spread by White Pepper and made-to-order s’mores for dessert from Nineteen27 (yes, real live s’mores inside a building, but gourmet and even better than you could have imagined). The ceremony and reception at the Village Ballroom were casual and fun with soulful R&B hits from the past by Vintage Vinyl Events (including a LOT of Prince, he had just passed away – RIP).
We took pictures in my all-time favorite Portland Park – Peninsula Park Rose Garden. In true Portland style, it drizzled on us. But the pair brought an adorable pink-trimmed umbrella that made the photos all the more sweet. Andi told me Rob was going for “history professor chic” for his groom attire. With a casual but classy tweed jacket from none other than H&M, a wooden bowtie, and an amaaazing STAR TREK POCKET SQUARE – he nailed it. Andi’s love for all things vintage and elegant shone through in her cream dress with embroidered details from modcloth, fur stole, and pastel blue saddle-shoe flats. The bridesmaids powder-blue tea-length dresses matched her perfectly. The flowers by Pistil and Stamen were lush with draping greenery and little hints of blue succulents and white anemones. It was all so lovely.
Thanks Andi and Rob for inviting me to document your wedding. So glad I can call you friends now.
May year two of marriage be filled with lots more cuddles and all that cute shit that newlyweds do!
